The Anaadi Ganga-Yamuna Darshan is a 9 Day tour to the source of the most sacred rivers Ganga and Yamuna that nourish the plains in the Northern part of India. The Yatra would be an ideal get away for those looking for a change from their routine, a stress free time-off and deeper experience in life. The yatra is an opportunity to have explosive inner experiences in the gorgeous and serene setting of the Himalayas. Blended with yogic practices, engaging discussions and powerful meditation, the yatra will give an opportunity for participants to experience deeper states of consciousness in the lap of the enchanting Himalayas. This will be a chance to rejuvenate your mind, body and spirit. Participants will bring home clarity of thoughts, emotional pleasantness and physical vibrance from the yatra. The yatra will commence from Delhi on 6 June 2017 and conclude at Delhi on 14th June 2017.

The yatra will be lead by Shri. Adinarayanan and Smt. Smrithi Adinarayanan, Founders, Anaadi Foundation. Dedicated to Self-Unfoldment of individuals, Anaadi Foundation offers a number of programs that blends insights from Ancient Indian tradition and modern science, making it relevant to young people of today. Anaadi's Winter retreat program and summer yatras are a big hit amongst young people.

Yogic Practices

Simple Yogic Practices are part of all programs offered by Anaadi. To keep oneself vibrant throughout the Yatra and as a preparation to receive the divine energies of the Himalayas, participants will be taught simple yogic postures and breathing practices.

Powerful Meditation

The altitude and temperature of the Himalayas make it an ideal place for spiritual sadhana. Meditation makes us more open to experience deeper states of consciousness. Guided meditation sessions at various sacred places will help the participants to be in-tune with and imbibe the calmness and serenity of the Himalayas.

Engaging Discussions

Vedanta is the essence of Indian thought and philosophy. Exposure to vedanta illumines the mind and offers a path to direct experience. The Himalayan yatra will serve as a platform to gain insights from great Indian works like the Mahabharata and Gita. The participants will get an opportunity to listen to stories from the Mahabharata, learn slokas from the Gita and engage in philosophical discussions that deepen their experience of life. The insights gained will help in developing emotional expansiveness to lead a fulfilling life

Places of Visit

Known by the ancient name of Gangadwara, Haridwar is a point where Maa Ganga enters the plains. It is one of the seven holiest places in India (Sapta Puri). The Kumbh Mela is celebrated once in 12 years here. Mentioned in the puranas and Mahabharat, The location of Haridwar makes it the gateway to the Char Dham.

Known as the Kashi of the North, Uttarkashi is a town situated right on the Banks of the Ganges. Filled with Ashramas and centers of traditional knowledge, Uttarkashi is a beautiful and sacred place.

Gangotri is the seat of Maa Ganga. There is a beautiful Ganga temple at Gangotri and yatris will get to visit the places where Bhagiratha and Pandavas did their penance.

Meaning "Mouth of a Cow", Gomukh is terrestrial source of Ganga. It is at a distance of 18km from Gangotri. Yatris will get to see the huge glacier at Gomukh.

Yamunotri is the seat of Maa Yamuna, the river that nourished the birth place of Lord Krishna. Close to the temple are hot water springs gushing out from the mountain cavities. Surya Kund is the most important kund.

Journey will start on 6th June from Delhi and conclude at Delhi on 14th June.

Travel Dates

Coimbatore Participants: Journey starts at 6.00 am on 4th June 2017 from Coimbatore and the yatris will reach back Coimbatore on 16th June 2017

Chennai/Bangalore Participants: Journey starts at 6.00pm on 4th June 2017 from Chennai and the yatris will reach back Chennai on the morning of 16th June 2017. Bangalore Participants may join us at Chennai.

Delhi Participants: Journey starts on 6th June 2017 from Delhi and the yatris will reach back Delhi on 14th June

Food and Accommodation

Clean and Hygenic accommodation in prominent ashrams/guest houses of the Himalayas will be arranged for all participants. Satvik vegetarian food will be provided throughout the journey.
